Hungrytown performs at the Levin Folk Music Club.

Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson are the duo who are Hungrytown. They last played for us in early 2013.

Rebecca and Ken tour full time; their adventures have taken them throughout the US, Canada, Europe and New Zealand. Listen to some samples.

Their songs have been performed by many other artists, including Nashville songwriting legend David Olney and bluegrass veterans the Virginia Ramblers. Hungrytown’s music has also appeared on several television shows, including the Independent Film Channel’s hit series, “Portlandia”. Do come along for this wonderful duo and a great evening.

Come to the first Club night of the year on 13 February to enjoy Anthony John Clarke – a seasoned, tried and tested troubadour who has graced the UK and world folk scene for 25 years. Listen to a preview of his music.

Although early in the year, the LFMCI committee has swung into action and is discussing and planning the year ahead.  Dale will continue as Acting Chair until the AGM and the committee is pleased to have the assistance of Colin and Rona for the remainder of this term. We appreciate that some members have taken on key tasks which help with the smooth running of the Club.  The committee would encourage and welcome any other offers, especially with club nights, where an extra pair of hands would be most appreciated.

There is also a concert by Steve Turner at Cavan & Penelope Haines home in Otaki on February 14th – see the poster for details
